Clinical focus

My clinical focus is on treating benign and malignant conditions of the head and neck. This includes tumours and disorders of the salivary glands and thyroid, skin cancers in the head and neck region, neck lumps, as well as swallowing and voice disorders including subglottic stenosis.

I also address general ENT, such as nasal obstruction, allergy, sinusitis, and paediatric conditions like tonsillitis, sleep apnoea, and ear infections resulting in hearing loss.

I am passionate about improving healthcare in regional, rural, and remote areas. My ENT services extend outside of Sydney.

Academic journey

I began my academic journey at Sydney University, where I earned a Bachelor of Medical Science degree. I then completed a Bachelor of Medicine/Bachelor of Surgery (Honours) from Flinders University, South Australia.

I completed my Otolaryngology, Head and Neck surgical training in New South Wales. I furthered this with an advanced surgical fellowship in Head and Neck Surgery at St Vincent’s Hospital, Sydney.

I am proud to be a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of Surgeons and a member of the Australian Society of Otolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgeons.

Professional work

Professionally, I work in public and private healthcare settings.

I hold appointments at St Vincent’s Private Hospital Sydney, St Vincent’s Private Community Hospital Griffith, and Hunters Hill Private Hospital. I also serve as a Visiting Medical Officer (VMO) at St Vincent’s Public Hospital, Sydney.

I am deeply integrated into the Otolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery department at St Vincent’s Hospital, Sydney. This department is known for its dedication to patient outcomes, public health, research, and interdisciplinary expertise. I am also a part of the St Vincent’s Hospital Head and Neck Cancer Multidisciplinary Team (MDT) that convenes weekly at The Kinghorn Cancer Centre.

I am devoted to patient safety, advocacy, and clinical governance. I am on various committees such as the St Vincent’s Private Hospital (Sydney) Patient Care Review Committee (PCRC) and the St Vincents Private Community Hospital (Griffith) Medical Advisory Committee (MAC).

I am also committed to education and research and helping future specialists in my field. I teach medical students and surgical registrars and co-convene the St Vincent’s Head and Neck surgical dissection course. I have been published in various journals and presented my work at conferences in Australia and overseas. (See below for a list of articles.)
